My research examines the earliest cognitive (e.g., memory decline), affective (e.g., depression/apathy), and metacognitive (e.g., changes in self-awareness) symptoms that occur as Alzheimer’s Disease pathology gains its first foothold in the brain. MRI and PET neuroimaging methods are used to examine concomitant physiologic and structural brain changes.
